Washington has the Seahawks. Colorado has
the Broncos. Florida has the Jaguars.
Montana has the Grizzlies.
While not exactly Super Bowl material,
the University of Montana Grizzlies command a flock
of some of the most loyal fans anywhere in the nation.
After winning 12 of their last 13 games, the Griz made
their way to the I-AA national championship against
Georgia Southern in Chatanooga, Tenn.
Grizzly football's game day culture rivals
that of any professional team. Griz tailgating starts
at 7p.m. the Friday before the game when roads near
Washington-Grizzly Stadium are turned over to fans'
RVs. The party doesn't end until the last RV pulls away
Sunday morning.
